Voiceworks - April 30th / May 7th

Details of the Voiceworks 2009 collaborations between the CPRC Birkbeck and Guildhall School of Music and Drama:

Voiceworks 2009

There will be a performance of the Voiceworks 2009 compositions this week at 13:00 on Thursday April 30th in the Music Hall in the main School building of Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Silk Street Entrance).

This is the third year of this collaboration between CPRC Birkbeck poets and Guildhall composers, singers and musicians.

The concert is free, and there is no need to book tickets - just turn up.

[There will be a second performance in the Wigmore Hall on Thursday May 7th, at 18:00 for 45 minutes - this will also be free to attend, but will require that tickets be booked in advance (this is very simple to do, and again, costs nothing).

Perdika Poets - 28th April

Just to let you know that Perdika Poets will be reading at: Trinity College, Cambridge this Tuesday, April 28 at 8 pm. The venue is the Old Combination Room. Admission is free, and wine (also free) will be available in the interval. This year we shall be launching a very exciting first collection, The Small Stones, by the young Jersey poet Tomas Weber. (Perdika subscribers will be receiving their copy shortly). Mario Petrucci will read from his extraordinary i tulips sequence, as well as from his vivid and playful versions of Sappho. Jacqui Rowe will read from her forthcoming collection of Apollinaire translations, and Nick Potamitis and Peter Brennan will present highlights from their Perdika publications. We very much hope that you will be able to attend!
